Switch 2 continues the Nintendo tradition for 20 years without achievements

Switch 2 will not participate in Xbox and PlayStation gaming devices with their own system achievements, Nintendo has confirmed with Polygon in a recent interview.

When we asked the player’s vice president and product experience Bill Trinen that we could expect achievements, he gave a pretty clear answer: when Nope.

Like on Switch 1, game developers will do them in their own way. For example, Ubisoft games have its own achievement system associated with Ubisoft Connect. When you earn them, they will not display on your Nintendo profile. And that will not change with Switch 2.

But although a traditional achievement system will not exist, Nintendo is still testing some systems like achievements in the conversion version 2 of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild And Tears of the kingdom. Both games will allow you to find a medal on the Nintendo Switch phone app. When you do things like long -distance travel or collect a large amount of rupee, they will be monitored inside a part of the application’s Zelda Notes and you will be able to see how you compare with other players in the world.

That is almost you will achieve achieving on Switch 2. Nintendo will not reward you because you have completed the first position as a cow in Mario Kart; That will be you to celebrate when Switch 2 released in June.
